A little while back I met up with my hairstylist Lauren and asked her for some professional help on getting that post salon hair at home because I couldn’t get my hair to look like how she did it…I had started to accept that my hair just couldn’t hold curls and would always fall flat....but then it didn’t make sense how she managed to do it for me!
Adult acne is really a result of these things: our diets and us not listening to what our bodies aren't cool with anymore, hormones being out of whack, and us being stressed the eff out and not getting the proper rest we need. For one, once you enter/pass your mid twenties, your body starts sending you a lot of signals.
I joined the Tone It Up New Year 5 Day Detox so I wanted to share with you guys what I thought of the plan, but also what I'm going to do next. When I saw the Tone It Up page promoting the 5 Day Detox, I got inspired to start the year off with a better start and to just activate those good habits with some structure.
...One thing I'm proud of is that even though it's not a social gathering typical to my culture (still prefer to gossip over tea or a cocktail) I'm still very intentional about the way I drink my coffee especially as I get more knowledgeable about supplements and adaptogens and all around healthy things.
