I haven't made a trip up to NYC in almost a year now, which is crazy because in the past I've tried to go at least every few months. I'm super excited for this trip for so many reasons, so I thought I'd tell you about what I'm going to be doing and how I've been planning.

Okay, first of all, something I've been doing for a little while now is really utilizing the Instagram "Saved" - Collections feature for travel. It's so good. Basically, I've made collections of every city that I visit frequently/hope to visit in the future and any time I see something good on Instagram I save it to its city. That way, when my trip rolls around, I already have a little arsenal of things I want to do. I'm somewhere in the middle of the spontaneous to planner scale...I'm not too tied to things, but I like to have at least some ideas of things to do when I get there. This way, I at least get a sense of areas and neighborhoods that have things I want to check out, but I also get to explore on the way.  As you can tell, it's mostly restaurants and food pics because that is my number 1 priority when travelling anywhere, sprinkled with some insta photo ops...because of course. AND on the bottom you'll see "See More Like This" which will show you some similar posts and you can stumble on even more fun things.

After food, of course I'm really looking forward to catching up with friends (probably over food lol). Oh and by the way, my all time favorite restaurant is Cafe Mogador in Williamsburg that I discovered a couple of years ago with these lovely peeps. :) I was supposed to off food, right. I'm also looking forward to meeting some new friends as this whole venture into the blogging world has already connected me with some really awesome people!

Thirdly, it's Fashion Week!! This will be my first time in New York at the same time as NYFW, so I'm really looking forward to it! I'm still so new to all of this, I have no expectations or bragging rights about being there at the same time, but I'm just really excited to soak up the energy of it all!

Speaking of fashion, I love this look, by the way.  It's still definitely warm enough for mini skirts, and this embroidery is so cute and perfect for warm fall days. The long bell sleeved top is a great transition piece for the incoming breezy fall weather as well, and can be worn with so many different outfits.

Lastly, the main reason I'm even making this trip at this specific time is 29ROOMS!!! If you haven't heard of 29Rooms, it was created by Refinery29 and they describe it as a "funhouse of style, culture, and technology" and "an Instagram lover's paradise." I will definitely be doing a full recap of 29Rooms on the blog when I get back, but until then you can creep their instagram page at 29Rooms.
